Get armed. Buy a 9mm pistol and a .308 rifle. These will be the 2 most common calibers in those types of guns, so you can always 'find' ammo on the street.

If you can afford it, but a .223 machine gun. Get silencers for everything.

9mm pistol - around $500 new.

You can buy both of these if you are a corporation or LLC in all states except:
CA, HI, KS, MO, IA, MN, IL, MI, NJ, NY, MA, RI

In all other states, if you are a corp and have no felonies or serious misdemeanors, the ATF license is on a MUST ISSUE basis unless they find something to disqualify you.

You'll also need water filtration equipment, 5 gallon cans of gasoline, flashlights, backpack, hydration system for backpack, etc. etc.

Now - we may never need any of the above (and I really, really hope we don't), but prices are going up all of the time, so - if nothing else - they are a great investment. For example, 9mm ammo went up 40% in the past 12 months. Did YOUR investments to do well?

Yeah no fucking question about it, the UN indeedsucks butt. I would also submit to you that .30-06 ammo is quite common IN RURAL/SMALL TOWN AREAS THAT IS...and .30-06 rifles aren't all that much of a blow to ones pocketbook...especially if you can do like me and eat ramen noodles and whatever you fight the buzzards for for a month or so!!!

I would also also (dept. of redundance dept.!) submit to y'all it'd be handy to have a .22 pistol w/ a silencer to use when as Mike Malloy puts it "when the lights go out and the barricades go up" for hunting purposes and dealing with varmints, snakes, etc. as well a pump-action 12 gauge shotgun with at least 5 shots is recommended, and with at least #10 birdshot.
