Anyways, this state had GOT have THE shittiest bipolar weather ever. Yesterday it was calm and somewhat cool at night. It stormed today & yesterday mid-days, despite the fact we’ve been in a horrible drought. So I wake up today and walk out the front door only to be slapped in the face with heat and humidity hotter than a Ft. Pierce crackpipe on payday!!!! Well, RIP everyones' good hair days until November. FEH! The only thing that sounds awesome right now is a quart of ice cream, a case of beer and for my next weekend to roll around. Fuck you Florida. Earlier this week, Florida State Senator Carey Baker (R) and State Representative Scott Plakon (R) introduced a state Constitutional amendment that, if adopted, would prevent Floridians from enrolling in any federal health care plan. The language of House Joint Resolution 37 states:

To preserve the freedom of all residents of the state to provide for their own health care:

A law or rule shall not compel, directly or indirectly, any person, employer, or health care provider to participate in any health care system.

Jebus. If only we'd thought of this when Bush was starting the Iraq War, we'd be about 50 different little countries by now.

(Side note: The Baker-Plakon measure would exempt any Federal health plans in effect before 2010...sparing Medicare. So once again, here's a pair of GOP nuts who just absolutely hate public health insurance, but love Medicare. What ignorant sticks.)
