In honor of the beginning of a brand new session of CONgress, with the Democrats taking a Filibuster-proof majority and the President and VP (sic)(who is also the President of the Senate) being from like party, let's remember one thing that has not changed: These motherfucks are, professional career politicians. NOT leaders.
If nothing changes, nothing changes.
Yes the Democrats give us hope by the mere fact that they are NOT neo-KKKon Republicans, but remember that they have been a seated majority for TWO FUCKING YEARS and gave BU$Hitler everything he demanded...including a trillion dollars for his comrades.
I am hoping that one day soon a majority of Americans will end their denial that WE are the Government, that we are responsible to make sure these people who serve us do their damn jobs. Unfortunately I believe it will take a few years of soup lines for that to happen, but it can happen. And probably WILL thanks to the last 28 YEARS of Con policies. A lesson we were taught but have not fully learned yet is that we can not hand our responsibility over to these people and expect them to do what is right. We need to hire and fire, make them actually show up for work and tow the line. They answer to us, and while we are asleep they are robbing us of everything...at the very least, a lot were actively partaking.
The Founders did not intend service as a Representative of a State to be an occupation or lifetime career, but that is what happened. Which is why we NEED term limits! I would make a suggestion that before any young person is given the right to cast a vote, they read a book of writings by some great Patriots like Patrick Henry, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Mark Twain and Will Rodgers. If we do NOT do our job, we can NOT expect them to do theirs. Democracy DOES NOT begin and end when you get off your ass to vote for President every 4 years. DEMOCRACY BEGINS WITH YOU, TAG! YOU'RE IT!
