Spitzer Could Be Gone - But Not Bush

Somebody posted this to my yahoogroup, and it is SPOT ON! Enjoy, and PASS IT ON!!!

Today Eliot Spitzer (at least according to some media sources) resigned or temporarily suspended his work as the Governor of New York State over questions of private personal morality. No one lost their life, no one was defrauded of State funds no one suffered life long injuries. As far as I'm concerned his alleged involvement with a "prostitution ring" is a matter between him and his family.
Meanwhile in DC we have a President and Vice President who knowingly lied us into two wars that has led to the loss of over one million lives, destroyed the physical and mental well being of almost all the soldiers of fought in this theater (re PTSD etc) and has through the use of depleted uranium contributed to an environmental disaster that will last for literally centuries. Additionally, Bush knowingly suppressed the provision of needed supplies to the victims of Katrina thereby causing an untold amount of suffering and death.
Furthermore, Bush's budgets and tax cuts for the rich have ravaged poor and working class families causing additional suffering. But Bush continues to (mis)govern relishing the prospect of a cozy Texas sized retirement.
Something is wrong with a society that demands an elected officials head for personal activities but will forgive another official for grave and illegal transgressions of his Elective responsibilities.
