Book recommendation!

I've never read a Star Trek book before, and I must say this book is a GREAT one to start with!
Should have been made into at least a mini-series...*HUFF*!
And to those who say "WHATCHEW READIN' FER?!" can lick my lesbian ass in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about reading THIS: FOOKOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways! I lucked out an obtained a 1st printing, from 1986! So if I can, look around, you probably should be able to find a copy too! Oh and fucking beam me UP already! Preferably to a planet where I DO NOT have to hear "Whatchew readin' fer?!"!!!!!!!!!
